The 2009 police car show is over

The 2009 annual Antique Police Car Show at the
New York City Police Museum is over
The "Best in Show" was a tie between-

A 1965 Plymouth Fury I RMP
Car 7-4-7 of the Eight-Oh Precinct
(yes, there was an actual Eight-Oh car 7-4-7
in the days before alphabetical sectors)

and this 1962 Dodge FDNY station wagon

Now some may ask how is it possible that
an FDNY car tied with an NYPD car at a "police" car show"?
In fairness to the out-of-town vehicles
the judges were from out-of-town.
Frankly, I think it was the bell on the front bumper.
(We all loved it.)
And it's a '62 Dodge Dart like the NYPD used in '62.
And it was a nostalgic piece of New York history.
And it was simply just too well done to ignore.

So, congratulations to the winners-
"Car 7-4-7 of the Eight-Oh Precinct"
and FDNY car 918
