TAPD - the Transit Police

The New York City Transit Authority Police Department
existed until 1995 when it merged with the NYPD
in what was known as the "hostile takeover."
The "Transit Police" became "city cops"
although many "tunnel rats" remained in
"the hole" in the NYPD's new Transit Bureau
